Enlabs is accused of non-compliance with the new bonus law

Since 2023, the Lithuanian Gaming Commission has adopted a law prohibiting operators from offering bonuses to their players. Enlabs, a subsidiary of UAB Baltic Group, has violated this rule by offering a bonus on one of its products.

This new law forbidden operators to offer any type of Bonuses to its subscribers. Enlabs did not comply with this law by running a promotion on Optibet Blackjack.
Fortunately for the company, it was not sanctioned by Gambling Supervisory Authority. Baltic Bet Group had previously violated the country's gambling regulations and was fined 12 450 $in 2023. The reason why they were sanctioned is because the operator offered wrong odds and did not cancel the bets afterwards.

The new law on bonuses and promotions đ
It is in May that the parliament approved the new amendment on the ban of all types of promotion. Since July 1st, operators with a license in Lithuania can no longer offer special events, trial games, promotions, discounts or gifts to players.
The purpose of this new law to have a better management of the problem due to gambling and reduce the number of people addicted to gambling. This amendment applies to online and land-based casinos.
A survey was conducted by the Lithuanian Gaming Commission among adults. Out of 1,001 people:

- ⊠đ 52% said it should be banned
- ⊠đ 22% said lottery ads should be made illegal.
